When Is the Best Time to Go Tubing on the Nile?

Good news: the Nile flows all year round, so you can go tubing in any month. The seasons do change the experience a little, so here is what to expect.

Dry seasons: December – February and June – August

Sunny days and clear skies make these the most popular months. Holidays fill up quickly, so book a few days ahead, especially for groups and weekends.

Rainy seasons: March – May and September – November

Showers usually come and go quickly and the water stays warm, so tubing is still great fun — you are going to get wet anyway! The countryside is at its greenest, and it is quieter on the river.

Morning or afternoon?

Morning trips are cooler and leave the afternoon free for a second activity such as quad biking or a falls tour. Afternoon trips are warmer and end with beautiful light over the river. For something completely different, try our evening Camp Fire Tubing.
